Privacy Policy

Ottilie Tuft ("we", "us") is a handmade tufted rug studio based in Israel. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, and how it's handled.

Information we collect

• Order details — name, email, shipping address, and the items you buy, collected at checkout.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details ourselves.
• Design quote submissions— if you use the "Design a Rug" tool, the photo and notes you upload are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a design concept and price estimate, and stored so we can follow up with you.
• Waitlist and contact details — your email, if you join a waitlist or contact us directly.
• Cart and saved items— stored only in your browser's local storage, never sent to our servers until you check out.

How we use it

To fulfil and ship your order, generate design concepts you've requested, respond to enquiries, notify you about order or waitlist status, and improve the studio's catalog. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the studio, each of whom only receives what they need to do their job:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Supabase — database and file storage (order records, uploaded design photos).
• Resend — transactional emails (order and shipping updates).
• Anthropic — generates design concepts from photos you submit through the design-quote tool.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, request a copy of it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing tuftottilie@gmail.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time, though order records may need to be kept for accounting purposes even after a deletion request.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
